X-Europe team and the participants of Cohort 4 (along with some participants from the previous cohorts) attended the TNW2021 event between 30 September and 01 October 2021. As one of the first large tech conferences to return in person following the lifting of Covid-19 based regulations, the event brought together around 5800 physical attendees.
One thing is clear: we missed each other. TNW2021 brought the ecosystem back together again in person, for two days of show-stopping performances, provoking talks, inspiring ideas, and some pretty darn cool tech. The energy of meeting the partners you spent months talking to via Zoom in the flesh was infectious and X-Europe was right in the thick of it.
Seven startups in the X-Europe program had booths on the floor and one digitally, making our presence strong with 8 founders showing the tech ecosystem why they deserve their place. These included Nuada, Kray Technologies, and TotalCtrl who also won their respective pitching competitions.
BeeSage (shown left) brought a hive that generated a lot of buzz, introducing their IoT beehive monitoring system to interested players in the field of AgriTech.
Generally, the startups on the X-Europe block were engaged, interactive, and fully seized the opportunity that TNW2021 provides to promote their tech solutions.
We can say that the conference gave a lot to our startups, but also that the innovations within the X-Europe program are what make events like TNW what they are.
For the final cohort, Fintech, you are not missing out on everything - in April, X-Europe will be at TechChill! The next TNW conference will be back in 8 short months in June 2022, and it only gets better. We look forward to the X-Europe team taking space there, generating traction, and forming partnerships.
